Spikeball Tips & Tricks
Was introduced to a new and fabulous game to bring out to the beach, parks, or even someone's backyard. This energetic cross between volleyball and four square had my heart pumping! Highly recommend! Watch the segment at CTV Morning Live.

HOW TO PLAY:
Spikeball is played 2 vs 2 (in today’s case Marke vs. Mandy!) with a hula hoop sized net placed between the teams.
A player starts a point by serving the ball down on the net so it ricochets up at his opponents. They have up to three hits between them (just like Volleyball) to control the ball and bounce it back off the net. When they miss, you score.
Did we mention that there are no boundaries? Once a point starts, players can move or hit the ball anywhere.
3 PRO TIPS:
You can’t spike the ball from your hand, you must have it a minimum of 2 inches above hand.
*use angles to make your serve more difficult to return. Use the ‘fwango serve’ to keep your opponent on their toes
Don’t spike the ball straight down onto the net, that makes it too easy for the other team to get the ball.
*instead wait until the ball is low to smack it across the net
You want to mirror the player across the net from you.
*if they start sliding around the net, you start sliding to mirror them
