Dessert Done Right: Taste-Tested & Approved (even by non-vegans)!

Crust: Two ingredients. Pitted dates and almond meal. The recipe called for walnuts, however I used almond meal (flour) due to left overs from almond milk.

If you're fortunate enough to be invited to someones house for dinner, its best you prepare a delicious dish for all the guests. If you're plant based, it's even more important because you have a chance to showcase some amazing alternatives.

This Thanksgiving I was invited to my second families Thanksgiving dinner. I decided to have a bit of fun with the Minimalist Bakers "7 ingredient Cheesecake" [recipe]

My Review:

  1. The recipe was easy as pie...or cheesecake in this case!
  2. Dessert was taste-tested and approved by ALL (including non-vegas)! My best friends Dad and 2 year old nephew even gave me the thumbs up.
  3. They melt quickly so make sure to freeze them between transport if taking to a guests house.
  4. Next time I make these I'll incorporate new toppings and add a bit more on top to bring out different flavours.

This Sunday marks my first day as the new female co-host of International cooking show ‘Buddha-Full TV’. I hear my co-host, Geremie has some plant powered Halloween themes for us to cook up - from superfood candy to haunted juices. I can't wait to share them with you!

As for my first ever vegan Thanksgiving, a large amount of gratitude goes to the Hobbis Family for welcoming me to their family celebration. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us to you.

Health. Is. Happiness!
